The One with My Kids, Part 1

Thought I'd share some pics of my furry kids, since I haven't posted any online in a while. Today is my pups, Henry & Louie.

The best photo I could get of the two of them together. Henry just won't sit still!

Actually getting along for a few minutes. Do you think they have enough toys?

Henry getting a bath. He looks so sad!

We all LOVE Winter in our house!

My Louie. He will always be my favorite, I can't help it. My first dog. My love. My boy. My baby. My protector.

The One With a Friday Fill In

1. The last band I saw live was Alabama in 2002 or 2003. It's been so long, I can't even remember!
2. What I look forward to most on Thanksgiving is having a 4 day weekend.
3. My Christmas/holiday shopping is coming together. I've got some done, but still have quite a few to do.
4. Thoughts of the New Year fill my head.
5. I wish I could wear my winter boots; I LOVE them.
6. Bagpipes are not my first choice for music.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hanging out at RSC, tomorrow my plans include heading to the cities, hanging out with friends and playing cards and Sunday, I want to clean house!

The One with Some Inspiration

Some things that are inspiring me right now:

1.) This girl, who inspired me to do this list. She makes amazing art (and sells it!) and crazy-beautiful scrapbook pages.

2.) I found this link from Amy's blog and had to share it. I am totally and completely OBSESSED with owls, and this website is fab! Check it out.

3.) I'm debating doing a Christmas Journal this year, but while I debate, I am enjoying looking at (and buying!) some new Holiday lines of paper this year. My two favorites include:

Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly

Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses

How can you not love them both? Oh, so amazing. They make me want to do a Christmas Journal, but they might be the only reason. I'm struggling with it A LOT right now.

4.) My best scrappy friends that I get to spend (almost) every Friday night with. They inspire me each and every week! Love you all, and I really don't know what I would do without you!

5.) One of those aforementioned scrappy friends has just started a kit club. Check it out! Her kits are so amazing, you're going to want to join! Very good stuff.

6.) The always inspiring, knitty.com! So many patterns & so little time. Fall and Winter make me want to knit like a fiend. In summer, not so much. Right now, I'd love to make:

These wrist warmers:

This scarf (minus the beeds, as I am not a fan):

Alas, I am working on Christmas knitting, so I have no time for things for myself. Perhaps after the holidays! I've been updating my ravelry queue like mad for when I have more time. I am enjoying my Christmas knitting, though, and I think the recipients are going to love what I'm making for them.

7.) Lastly, this website has been keeping me laughing. Sometimes I just need to take a break from all the craziness that is going on and have a good giggle. If you want one too, I recommend you check them out. Hilarious!

Hope everyone is having a good week. Today I am thankful for both of my jobs! I love them both and I am so incredibly lucky to have them. Until tomorrow...

The One Where I Sing "Hey, Hey, Hey Burrito Lady"

...because today I got a call from Chipotle telling me that I won their weekly drawing! I put my business card in their fishbowl quite a while ago, and today they drew my name and I won 5, count 'em 5, free burritos!!! How awesome is that!? Thanks, Chipotle in South Rochester. You Rock!!!

It really is the little things in life that can make your day, and today this was it.

The One Where I Have the Blues

Right now I'm watching Walk the Line, the story of Johnny Cash's life. I've never seen it before, but I'm really loving it. And, I have to admit that Joaquin Phoenix is a very nice looking man.

I just found out that you can rent movies from my local library for free! So, I've been getting a few here and there because never have time (or patience) to make it to the theater. So, if anyone has any suggestions of some good movies to see from the last 5 years or so, let me know.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

The One With Another Recently Completed Layout

Check it out! Another layout that I finished at the Fall retreat. This one is one of my most favorite layouts that I've done in a while. Click on the picture to make it bigger and then you can see all of the awesome little details. Those are my favorite part of scrapping, embellishments!
